VPItransmissionMaker™ & VPIcomponentMaker™ Version 8.7
VPItransmissionMaker/VPIcomponentMaker Version 8.7 provides many new modeling features, improved usability and advances in design process and data analysis compared to the previous version.
Version 8.7 supports the generation, transmission, detection and performance estimation of optical signals with multilevel modulation using arbitrary constellations (including CmQAM), and electrical driving pulse shapes (supporting for instance 1Tb/s Super Channel systems).
Version 8.7 enables a further reduction of simulation time by offering new applications for multithreading and GPU-assisted simulations. The handling of the Simulation Engine Driver (API of simulation engine) has been greatly improved and a new COM cosimulation interface is now offered.
Supporting the rapid modeling of large-scale photonic integrated circuits (PICs), VPIcomponentMaker™Photonic Circuits provides two new simulation techniques: the frequency-domain modeling approach with the SMATRIX simulation domain and the hybrid time-and-frequency-domain modeling (TFDM) approach based on the time-domain extension of the SMATRIX simulation domain.
